Coupe de Ville to play at Waipa Networks Business Awards Gala

Coupe de Ville to play at Waipa Networks Business Awards Gala

Coupe de Ville have been announced as this year’s entertainment at the Waipa Networks Business Awards Gala dinner.

The 2018 Waipa Networks Business Awards Gala will be held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre on the August 31 and Coupe de Ville are playing live as the finale.

The Gala dinner is the highlight in the Waipa and Raglan business calendar and the band will play the final set of the night as attendees celebrate the 2018 Waipa winners.

Coupe de Ville are a renowned covers band, featuring musicians Dan McIntyre, Ed Huirama, and Jason Crawford.

They are best known locally for their sets at Festivals and events such as Chow & Tipple, Steeds and Melodies and Round the Bridges as well as their regular sets at The Five Stags in Leamington.

Lead singer Dan McIntyre is now becoming a well known name in the Australian and New Zealand markets having recently returned from several weeks performing at the Southern Hemisphere’s largest annual event The Royal Sydney Easter Show.

"I actually played at the launch event just hours after landing back in NZ from my Australian tour and I am really excited about the chance to perform in front of a local crowd again which includes several well known and successful businessmen and women and entrepreneurs. It is great to support the local industry and help them to celebrate the successes they and their teams have managed to achieve this year," Dan said.

The Gala dinner is becoming the event to attend, and as well as the opportunity to dance the night away to Coupe de Ville live, the event promises a three-course meal, Te Radar as the MC, a goodie bag, and the chance to win some great spot prizes.

"Based on the music Dan sampled for us at the launch of the Waipa Business Awards, the Awards Gala night’s entertainment with Coupe de Ville will set the celebrations off and get you dancing," Tania Witheford, member of Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, said.
