Not only did the company win seven gold medals across various printing disciplines, but were inducted into the new, and already highly coveted, 50 Gold Medals Club. Further, it won a Process Award, which represents the “best of the best” in the Inkjet/Sign & Display Print category for a vehicle graphic.
The judges said, “The complexity of this application is very high and the circles are so perfectly matched over a number of different mediums and surfaces – a worthy showcase for this technology.”
In a very emotional tribute, Pride in Print recognised Admark’s recently retired owner and Managing Director, Laurie Pilling, for his contribution to the New Zealand printing community over his 25 year-plus career.
Laurie says, “I was very humbled and honoured to be recognised at the Awards. The print industry has been an exciting and challenging one for me to be involved in, and I am proud to say that New Zealand printers are among the best in the world. All of the success I have enjoyed over the years at the various printing competitions has been as a result of the wonderful team we have at Admark, who consistently go above and beyond to provide our clients with technically excellent, award-winning work every day.”
The seven gold medals were awarded as follows: China Girl (Crown Range Cellar) and Flower Boy wine labels (NZ Wine Company), Burger King “Taste of the World” backlit sign, Kapiti Milk & Ice Cream truck (Fonterra), Mobile Dental Clinic (Waitemata DHB), Nature’s Fresh Bread truck (Goodman Fielder) and a Service Foods Garlic truck. The company also received a Highly Commended award for a Burger King Chicken Bites & Fries backlit sign.
Gallagher Supplier of the Year Awards
Gallagher also held their Annual Supplier of the Year Awards over the weekend, and Admark was thrilled to receive an award for Supreme Customer Service in the “Print Pack & MRO” category.
Lisa Pilling says, “This award is a huge recognition of the effort our team puts in to consistently ensure Gallagher is treated as the highly prized client they are. We are proud to have worked with them for more than 35 years and I’d like to especially thank Sue Sutherland, for her outstanding effort in looking after the Gallagher account.”
