Waikato Business Summit brings industry leaders together

Business leaders from around the region will meet in Hamilton this month to listen to a who’s who of business give their insights into New Zealand’s changing times in business.

The Waikato Business Summit 2018, on February 8, is a joint collaboration between ANZ, BDO Waikato, Chartered Accountants NZ, and Xero. The summit will be located in the Pacific Crystal Palace on the Governor’s Lawn in the Hamilton Gardens.

It will see key industry figures speak about changing times in business such as changes in central Government, local Government, the economy and business practices.

BDO Waikato managing director Bernard Lamusse said it was important for business people to hear outstanding speakers and to spend time networking with each other to rejuvenate their businesses.

“We have an outstanding line-up of speakers who will offer valuable insight into our local and global economies and will contribute to discussions about key issues facing our region in terms of business growth,” Lamusse said.

The global empire Amazon is set to take the stage and speak about changes made within their business and how it will have an impact on your business.

Hamilton City Council’s general manager city growth Kelvyn Eglinton will talk about changes to local Government and give us an insight into what is happening in Hamilton and the impact on local business.

“This is an excellent opportunity for business people to get together at the beginning of the year, hear some exciting new ideas and trends to enable them to plan for the year ahead” Lamusse said.

Various other speakers will also discuss changes to central Government, giving a background to new policies and their impact on our businesses. As well as, changes in business practices, including issues such as IT, distribution, customer patterns and employees.
