Kiwi exporters are being encouraged to enter the ExportNZ Awards.
Seven businesses from the ExportNZ Awards will go through to compete in the NZTE International Business Awards, but first they have to win their category.
The event is run by ExportNZ and businesses wanting to participate in NZTEIBAs must enter the respective regional awards.
Waikato and Auckland will be joining together to hold the Air NZ Cargo ExportNZ Export Awards on 28 June at ANZ Viaduct Centre, Auckland.
Waikato has done well in the past two years, taking out many categories including Supreme Award by Waikato Milking Systems in 2016.
The aim of the ExportNZ awards programme is to inspire New Zealand firms to expand their business horizons, engage in exporting and grow internationally.
The ExportNZ Excelerator website showcases 144 amazing stories shared by finalists and winners of the ExportNZ Auckland & Waikato awards programme from 2009 – 2017.
The categories this year are:
- Best Emerging Business (goods) – supported by DHL
- Best Medium Business (goods) – supported by Ports of Auckland
- Best Large Business (goods) – supported by Westpac Institutional Bank
- Best Emerging Business (services) – supported by DHL
- Best Medium Business (services) – supported by BDO
- Best Large Business (services) – under negotiation TBC
- Excellence in Innovation – supported by Baldwins Intellectual Property
