Kiwi innovation on show at Fieldays Online
The best of Kiwi ‘No.8 Wire’ ingenuity was recognised at the 2020 Fieldays Online Innovation Awards, which were announced digitally in late July. Proving New Zealand really is the land of milk and honey, the awards ranged from better beekeeping, to biodynamic fertiliser to colostrum management.

First Fieldays Online a virtual success
The Fieldays Online concept and digital platform was created in just under 108 days. As New Zealand went into the national lockdown the New Zealand National Fieldays Society (NZNFS) began building an online event following the cancellation of the physical Fieldays; effectively transforming the largest agricultural show in the Southern Hemisphere into a completely virtual experience.

Local success story leads to new $14m centre of excellence

With continued growth and outstanding performance, BBC Technologies has outgrown its current premises on Ingram Rd at Hamilton Airport and is planning to expand its operation to a larger site nearby.

Mark Hamilton was forced to rethink his work when on lockdown
On Wednesday 25 March 2020, photographer Mark Hamilton locked his Hamilton city studio and drove home to Pukekawa in the North Waikato with his partner Robyn, one camera and one lens. It was the evening before Covid-19 Alert Level 4, when New Zealanders went home to stay home, and fight a pandemic.
